Counterfeit purchased in Windsor, Ontario
This fake band is too wide, too dark, and the resolution is all wrong. Note the jaggedness at certain spots on the white bordering (i.e., upon the underside of the centerpiece). Also, on the left end of the band, that white splotch is the tear from the glue when the band was taken apart -- common enough. However, Cuban cigar bands are meticulously wrapped around each cigar. In spite of minor human error, each band is glued relatively straight. Notice that the edge of the band still remains on the lower left end of this counterfeit, indicating that the band overlapped in a poorly aligned fashion. This is a subtle example of the lack of effort taken when the fake band was glued together.
