The Dominican La Gloria Cubana band has the same general layout as the Cuban version. Both bands have images of four ornate gold coins flanking the centerpiece (two on each side), military-red lines that fill the background, a white border that surrounds most of the design, a raised gold rope border that surrounds the white border, and a more pronounced raised border that surrounds the centerpiece. The woman in the center of the band is virtually identical on both versions. She has white skin, and is featured on a gold backdrop with a red multi-folded red cape, which matches her lipstick and the feather in her hair. She wears golden bracelets, an armband and wreath of laurels, and she has thick hair and eyebrows. The Dominican version does not say "Habana" in the bottom center of the band as the Cuban does. The red lines filling the background are thinner on the Dominican band, and the gold color of the outermost border and the centerpiece backdrop is lighter. The woman on the Cuban band is tilted slightly backward, while on the Dominican version she appears upright, and the smoke from her thin cigar is more detailed on the Dominican band.
