Perdomo Elected to Miami Lakes Council

Posted: Wednesday, October 15, 2008

By Andrew Nagy

Nick Perdomo, owner of Tabacalera Perdomo, has won a seat on the Miami Lakes, Florida, Town Council, winning the race that took place on October 7.

“My vision for Miami Lakes is one where town officials will be held accountable for their actions,” said Perdomo in a press release.

Perdomo and his wife, Janine, moved to Miami Lakes in 1992, the same year he started his cigar company, originally named Nick’s Cigar Co.

Perdomo, an air traffic controller at the time, soon grew his company into a formidable player. Today, Perdomo cigars are produced in his own factory, built in 1999, in Nicaragua.
