Perdomo Debuts Full-Bodied Cigar

Posted: Thursday, July 09, 2009

By Gregory Mottola

Nick Perdomo, president of Tabacalera Perdomo, has decided to use the tobacco culled from his 2004 crop for his newest creation: Perdomo Grand Cru, a Nicaraguan puro spawned from Cuban seeds planted in the Condega, Jalapa and Estelí growing regions of Nicaragua.

The Grand Cru comes in two varieties, Corojo and Maduro, and according to Perdomo, the Corojo is the most full-bodied cigar that he makes.

"I could have made a cigar that makes your eyes water," said Perdomo, "but I wanted to make a balanced cigar."
